Vegetarian Awareness Month

Today I stopped off at Books-a-Million and picked up a copy of VegNews magazine.  Upon opening it up to the first page I read that October is Vegetarian Awareness Month!  Awesome!  This gives me another excuse to talk about the benefits of being a vegetarian!

I'd like to keep things light and upbeat for my first post and tell you about one of my favorite cookbooks.  It's called "Vegan Cookies Invade Your Cookie Jar".  Yum-o!  I don't know about you, but I love cookies!  I've tried several of these recipes and I have not been disappointed!  Some of my faves are the Peanut Butter Cookies, Snicker Doodles, Chocolate Chip and the Cowboy Cookies (chocolate chips, walnuts, coconut, and oatmeal).

There are 100 cookies in this cute little book and none of them are made with milk, eggs, or butter.  Yet they still taste amazing!  Feel like trying something new?  Purchase a copy of this book, ask for it for your birthday or Christmas, or see if the library has a copy and make a few cookies!
